Kari Samantha (born April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is an American actor and singer. She began her acting career when she was in her teens. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for the role of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She is the youngest of her three siblings. As a child She sang in nightclubs and slipped out to perform. From the Wooster School at the age of thirteen, she began studying drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known instructor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. She was a Brookfield resident was born in Brookfield Connecticut, on the 28th of April 1967. Her German-American father is an auto dealer as well as a police agent. Kari has three brothers and sisters. When she was a teenager, she sang at nightclubs while slipping out to perform. Kari, who was then 13 years old studied at the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She was also a student in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher known as Uta. Kari began acting when she was in her teens, with her first TV break coming on 1987's MTV Remote Control.
