Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson hails from the US and is a producer, actress, writer/singer/director. She is best known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own film Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Additionally, she was Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson, born to a psychiatrist as well as an artist named Diane Benson, was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. She has a younger sister Danielle, who is an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to the Reform congregation in Alabama. Since Buffy came to an end, Benson has been in movies including The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Her talents as a writer were put to use on Ghosts of Albion, and she directed Drones (2010). After spending the time to find and identify them, Buffy states that there around 1800 Slayers around the globe and 500 are involved in the Scooby Gang. Slayer possibilities are being awakened once they reach the appropriate maturity. For example, Soledad became a Slayer at the age of 16.
